The mother of two of the first participants in the Winnipeg program, Tannis is a longstanding supporter and ambassador for G.R.O.W.
On a professional level, after beginning her career at Trader Publications in customer service, she moved into the role of Administrative Manager for Manitoba and HR Coordinator for Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Having left Trader to nurture her young family, Tannis returned to the workforce fifteen years ago, initially as the Administrative Assistant for the HR Manager and CFO of Concordia Hospital and subsequently moving into the role of Administrative Assistant for the President and CEO and Chief Administrative Officer until her retirement in 2018. Her professional roles have provided her extensive experience in the needs of a successful organization – employee support and financial stability. And her experience with G.R.O.W. as a parent has provided a deep understanding of the organization, its vision and the programs that make a difference in the lives of participants and their families, and the community as a whole.
